INDIANAPOLIS, April 5, 2023 – Central Indiana was hit by more than a dozen tornadoes late Friday into early Saturday, leaving behind a path of destruction that claimed the lives of at least five people. The storms caused severe damage to homes and businesses, uprooted trees, knocked down power lines, and scattered debris across several communities.
The worst affected areas included Sullivan County, Johnson County, and Owen County. In the aftermath of this tragic event, many are asking how they can help.
Freije & Freije Auctioneers, a Jeff Martin Auctioneers’ Partner, a leading auctioneer of construction and farm equipment, has stepped up to the plate and pledged to donate a case of water for every registered bidder in their upcoming April 6th auction. Additionally, donations can be brought to their Clayton, IN office and will be taken to The Refuge, a faith-based community outreach center in Johnson County.

The Refuge is dedicated to providing physical, emotional, academic, and spiritual support to the residents of Johnson County. The Refuge welcomes donations of water, bottled drinks, hygiene products, and other essential items that can help the victims of this disaster.
